Selborne Hanger

Alton

3 / 5 ▪ Good

In the village of Selborne is Selborne Hanger. Here visitors can climb the steep hill along the Zig-Zag Path. The Rev. Gilbert White (1720 – 1793) and his brother, John (1727 – 1780), constructed this path in the 18th century to provide easier access to the Hanger and Selborne Common.
