School bus driver jailed

A court has jailed a school bus driver for causing life-changing injuries to three children on board his bus, which struck a bridge in Winchester, Hampshire.
The railway bridge in Headbourne Worthy tore the bus’s roof off when the double-decker smashed into it on Thursday 10th September 2020.

The crash occurred on Well House Lane in Headbourne Worthy, Winchester
The driver, Martin Walker, mistakenly believed the bus would fit under the bridge, Winchester Crown Court heard.
The 37-year-old admitted three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and the court jailed him for three years.
