New network planned

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is proposing a new bus network, which would serve the capital’s outer boroughs.

There would be six new routes — four of which would become part of the ‘Superloop’ network — complete with distinct branding.

The plans propose a fast service that would make more stops and link many of the peripheral boroughs.

The network is part of the Mayor’s efforts to compensate for the impact of the ULEZ (ultra-low emission zone) expansion, due to begin in August.
