Man angry over bus stop

A man says he is willing to spend his ‘last penny’ to take a council to court over plans to place a bus stop right outside his home in Gloucestershire.

Clive Ashford, who lives in the village of Churchdown, has argued that the proposed bus shelter is dangerous.

Gloucestershire County Council intends to move the existing bus stop to the junction with Pirton Lane.

Councillors at the authority said the stop, which is next to the Esso garage in Cheltenham Road East, has to move to accommodate a new cycle lane.
