Man jailed over bus crash

A court has jailed a driver who caused a collision in which a double-decker bus hit a house in Bristol.

Laurence Salaou was at the wheel of the VW Golf that collided with the bus — resulting in the driver losing control — in December 2022.

The collision pulled much of the brickwork off the front of the house, which is on Highridge Road in Bishopsworth.

Bristol Crown Court jailed 23-year-old Salaou for 18 months after he admitted to the charge of dangerous driving.
